Jeff Phillips is a distinguished authority in high-capacity grid modernization, with decades of experience testing advanced conductors for the world's most demanding electrical infrastructures. Throughout his career, he has designed over 400 miles of transmission lines with advanced conductors, delivering over $20M in strategic savings for utility partners. An industry thought leader, Jeff is a frequent presenter and keynote speaker at major transmission conferences, forums, and workshops, where he shapes the future of advanced conductor engineering through technical excellence and shared insights. Jeff has been awarded the Igniting Innovation award in 2024 and the Edison Pioneers in Innovation of the Year Award in 2023.

Jeff is in contact with all US manufacturers of advanced conductors and has toured multiple U.S. factories.  He has tested many advanced conductors at multiple laboratories both in the U.S. and in Canada.  His experience with advanced conductors also extends to multiple fitting manufacturers and construction companies.  He has overseen many advanced conductor projects in the field and is familiar with construction techniques and tooling.

Jeff is a U.S. Marine, and he faithfully served his country all over the world.  He is an avid long-range shooter and loves to teach other people how to safely use pistols, rifles and shotguns at his personal shooting range.  Jeff is a faithful follower of Christ and serves his local church as a teacher, director of security and council member.  He leads a bible study on Wednesday nights at the Whitwell Church of God, and resources for this class can be found on the Bible Corner page.  Jeff has been married to his beautiful wife Tammy since 1998 and they have two adult children.
