Modeling & Analysis

ACE provides a wide range of analysis services to support the design and evaluation of weapon systems.  Simulations are useful in refining designs and determining weapon effectiveness.  We specialize in the analysis of aerodynamic, combustion, and explosive subsystems.

An example presented here is the analysis of a fuel-air explosive weapon detonated in a tunnel complex.  This was done to determine how the shock wave would travel through the tunnel complex and how much overpressure reached each of the rooms within the complex.

ACE can also provide versions of its existing software or new tools tailored for specific system analysis.  One example is a special version of our Computational Explosion & Blast Assessment Model (CEBAM) formulated to model the gun blast on Naval Vessels.  Here, a graphical user interface (GUI) was constructed allowing the user to easily alter weapon parameters such as azmith and pitch, facilitating efficient cost effective analysis efforts.
